Today, we have introduced our new "Take me Home" story sacks. Each room has their own sack which includes a bear and a book. On the front of each sack is a little narrative explaining what is inside.
Communication, language and vocabulary is a vital part of a child's learning journey and it has been proven that regular reading and talking with a child encourages and brings on their vocabulary and communication skills.
As part of our "partnership with parents", we thought this was an excellent opportunity to extend on what we do at nursery. Each child will be given a turn to take the sack home for a week and we encourage parents to regularly read and discuss the book with your child, using the story bear as a prop.
