The Wheels on the Bus, Arden House, The Dell and Dancing Faye

Our Over 2's Unit have had a very busy week.  As part of their transport theme for May, some of the staff took the children on a bus ride around Leamington Spa.  They enjoyed giving the driver some pennies to pay for their journey, talked about how the bus moves using it's engine and wheels and how it makes lots of stops to let the people get on and off.

Some of the older children went to visit the residents of Arden House.  They have visited many times now and are building very special bonds with the older generation.  This month, they took some board games and puzzles to play with them.

A trip to The Dell is always top of our list when the sun is shining and we are so lucky to have this lovely park on our doorstep.  The children love the freedom this park allows and they had great fun on the play equipment and taking in all the beautiful scenery.

Dancing Faye from Stagecoach Dance School made her weekly visit on Wednesday.  This term's theme is Bugs and the children are loving reinacting the movements the bugs make, singing "beastly" songs and listening to stories.  Faye encourages the children to work as a team to show their strengths and abilities and we know the children look forward to her coming.  Finally, our ants arrived via Royal Mail!  They have now been put safely into their Ant House, to which the children are fascinated watching and I know they can't wait to show Dancing Faye next week.
